It calls to my mind my great...Absolutely beautiful. It calls to my mind my great grandfather who died 30 years before I was born. A young stowaway immigrant (fleeing an abusive father) in the late 1800s, he worked in the coal mines for 20 years before buying a farm in Minnesota. Presumably due to his hard life, he was not the nicest man and was not well-loved by his children. But he remained steadfast in the Lutheran faith and had requested his Bible be buried with him so it would not fall into hands that would treat it with disrespect. The Lord preserved a remnant through his line thus far, of which I, my wife, and my children rejoice to be a part.
